Tale is the flagship software product of Spout Interactive, Inc., which I am proud to be a co-founder of. Tale is an immersive social media experience designed to bring brands closer to their audience with real-time interaction and display.
As the lead UX engineer for Tale, I am constantly researching our competitors in the marketplace, analyzing their services and recognizing their shortcomings, and determining new value proposition and competitive advantages as we strive to make Tale the Gold Standard in the social aggregation space. Using Lean development practices, I test, experiment and validate user feedback to quickly evolve our software in the most cost-effective and efficient manner possible.
We showcased Tale at the Cascadia Summit 2014 in Vancouver with several entrance displays and a featured wall in the main lobby amazing reviews.Go to the Site
Swingloop is a more than match-making app for golf students and golf instructors, but a global online golf academy driven to pair students looking to improve their game with the right instructor best suited to address their specific needs.
Leading the UX vision of this app, I closely liaised our marketing and product management to identify our core groups, and map their workflows throughout the course of an online golf lesson. I communicated the UI direction to our Front End developer. I worked closely with real golf professionals as they evaluated our software throughout development, and validated their feedback into actionable items to iterate the app.Go to the Site
Using years-old software unable to meet usability demands, I was tasked to envision a Logistics Management System to add in the transport, tracking and communication of pets as they make long-distance voyages to their new homes. I experienced on-site operation of Worldwide Animal Travel's existing operations at their facility, and grew a deep understanding of their pain points and needs for a new software system.
From there, I developed over one hundred pages of wireframes, mockups and persona documentation to illustrate the day-to-day usage of their new software and ensure the product would be seamlessly integrated into their operations.Go to the Site
LessonTrax was developed to give golf instructors a single place to not only maintain their hectic teaching schedules, but to also invoice and track their earnings through the golf facilities that employ them. LessonTrax has since been adopted by several golf facilities to maintain their internal bookkeeping.
I was brought aboard the LessonTrax team to evaluate the existing version of the software, and by gathering extensive feedback from existing users both at the facility and instructor level, plan a complete redesign of the software in a way that is both intuitive and light-weight for the user.Go to the Site
I was approached to create a complete brand identity for the BC Rockies, British Columbia's official deaf and hard-of-hearing hockey team. In addition to logos and uniform designs, I also provided several designs for promotional material and apparel for the team that would win Bronze at the 2012 Canada Deaf Games.Go to the Site
